       Patti Bee, M.S., LPC, NCC, is a veteran who served four years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1984. She has previously volunteered at the VA Hospital and at Dry Hooch. Patti is Certified in Brainspotting, a leading edge trauma therapy that is much better tolerated by those who suffer from traumatic stress. Brainspotting clears trauma out of the nervous system and brain.

       Patti is also an Approved Provider for Non-VA Services through the VA Hospital in Madison, WI. New funds are available through their office.     Read more on Brainspotting.

Non-VA Mental Health Service Funding

       Patti Bee has been approved as a provider by the VA Hospital through the Non-VA Services Office. The Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act of 2014 is making funds available to Veterans for Non-VA Mental Health Services.

       How this usually works is that you get to choose your own Mental Health Service Provider and the VA Hospital pays for the services. It is at no cost to the Veteran.

       You do need Prior Authorization through the VA Hospital. If you are in a status whereby you would normally qualify for VA Mental Health Services it is very possible now, that you could come to Brainspotting with Patti Bee and the Non-VA Services Office could pay.

       Please Contact Patti Bee and she can help you in contacting the VA. Each Veteran's scenario is different, I can't promise anything. As an approved vendor though, I have been paid in the past through Non-VA Services and I have seen this work. Also, for the billing end of it, my own billing office takes care of that part and I do as well to ensure continuity of care. The Veteran is responsible for showing up on time to scheduled appointments and ensuring that the authorization through the VA Hospital is kept current.

MATC has Student Health Insurance Plan, SHIP and I can accept that as well.

Students who have had a crisis,a sexual assault, rape, or any kind of assault can use their Student Heatlh insurance plan, SHIP, to pay for Brainspotting. Rape can be a crisis that you need immediate triage for and that does not have to be the retelling of all the details for you to get relief from some of the symptoms of rape
